hmm....

She is cool, she is random, she is cute, she is brainy, she is sensitive, and even though a grown up she is still a kid. She is confused. All she desires is someone who can understand her inside out, someone who just listens to her. And even if she finds one she gets confused, wonder if anyone can understand her ever better. Waiting to see her conquer the thick and untamed world around her, now that she is going to come out of the pampered world in which she was in till now.

minutes to midnight - review

This is the most anticipated album of the year 2007. You'll see the change and maturity in this album, but, honestly, I didn't want to see Linkin Park change. Jumping up and down to the LP songs of the old days can't be seen in this album, as most of the tracks are soft.

You can say it's been a disappointment for the fans of the band, but, yeah, this album will grow each time you play it. Hybrid Theory, it was mostly anger being expressed. And in Meteora there was definitely more emotional range.

Given Up, Bleed It Out, and What I've Done, are the happening tracks (well, I liked those tracks) in this album but the rest of the tracks are well worth listening too. I hope that LP will switch back to the old days in their next album.

LP new album

On May 4, 2007, 11 days before its official U.S. release, 10 days worldwide, the album "Minutes To Midnight" by Linkin Park was leaked onto several peer-to-peer networks on the internet. Later that day Mike Shinoda commented on the Linkin Park Message Board in response to the leak, however he seems to be very understanding if people have downloaded the album, thanking fans for being fans and so forth.
"To all our linkin park fans,
"we heard today that the album leaked...so i guess some of you have had a chance to hear what we've been so excited about. we're both excited and disappionted that you're hearing it right now. here's why:
"It couldn't be more exciting to give you all new music, especially after all the hard work we put into it. This album was almost a year and a half of experiments, mistakes, inspiration, and careful craftsmanship. We put everything we had into these songs, and want you to hear every second of it. I can't wait for you to absorb all the levels of meaning in the songs, and the layers of music, eventually forming your own ideas about what the songs mean to you.
"At the same time, a leak leaves out some very important parts of this piece of work. We put months of creative energy into the ART of the record, in the booklet, special edition, and big book...almost as long as it took to record hybrid theory (sic). The album has amazing photos, lyrics, and notes about how the songs came together--it's the visual half of the record. On the other hand, the super-special-edition book is packed with exclusive images, stories of the making of the songs, gorgeous art, the CD and a DVD that tells the story, showing the actual moments of inspiration caught on camera. For me, it's almost hard to imagine anyone really experiencing this album without that part of it.
"Even the song sequence alone is very important. It's WAY different to hear the songs in a random order than to listen to this record from beginning to end. At the very least, if you've already downloaded the songs, do us a huge favor and listen to them in the right order...it'll be way more rewarding.
"...that's all we wanted to say. if any of you want to be patient and hold off on downloading the album, and get the proper experience by checking out the actual piece in your hands, we applaud you for your restraint! and to everyone else who can't wait: we can't help but understand, because we're just as excited about this album coming out as you are. either way, thanks for listening, and being a fan of our music. thanks for supporting the band, see you on tour! -mike and LP"

my mom rocks!

Yeah..! That’s true I got a super cool mom…!

Day before yesterday, my mom took me and my brother to a movie, which was released on that day only! And getting tickets for the newly released movie on the day 1 is kind of impossible. But my mom got tickets!

Well, I’m big movie buff, and there’s hardly been any weekend without a movie so far. And moreover I ensure that I watch the new movies on the release day itself.

OK, so, that day I had office and due to little traffic jam on my way back to home I reached home little late. As soon as I reached home I crashed down on my bed. Exactly at 6 pm my mom calls up to our landline phone, my bro attended the call. Mom asked if we wanted to see the new movie. We said why not, but then she was yet to go to theatre and buy tickets and it was a big banner movie. I said to my mom; even if you have to buy from black please do that, because we have to go for that movie at any cost. My mom was like, no black nothing, will buy from counter only. And exactly at 6:35 pm my mom calls up and says just 25 minutes for the show to commence. We pulled up our trousers and set off to theatre.

On the way to theatre we hired an auto, this was damn irritating ride I must say. That auto driver started telling us about the movie, the hero, heroine, songs, and when he was about to start telling us about the story luckily we reached the theater to our respite.

On dot we reached the theatre and got into the hall. Ok... So in the hall, our seats were in the middle of the row. And as my mom bought tickets from ladies counter, obviously that row is filled with females [;)]. So there was this girl Aparna (came to know her name only in the interval when her friend called her by her name ) who sat beside me, I was popping my popcorn on her and said "sorry" whenever my mobile buzzed. (Don’t know what happened but people were calling to my mobile as if as I was dying tomorrow… [:P] )…

Anyways, I enjoyed that evening with my mom and bro.

Hey! my mom rocks!

waiting for you!

"My eyes went dry waiting for you,
My heart went to cry waiting for you,
My soul went to die waiting for you,

‘cuz, “ you are the GIRL of my wet dreams……! “

TA RA RUM PUM

Ta Ra Rum Pum is a movie which has - a happy family (with dog), a tragedy, the downfall and then back to success. One of the main reasons why TA RA RUM PUM works is because it's not about car racing only. It involves a couple, their two kids, the family's riches to rags story, their highs and lows…

An entertaining movie with some nice locations, rocking music, meaningful lyrics and decent acting from Saif & Rani. Saif doesn't quite reach the heights in terms of performances, but still he is looking good as family man.

TA RA RUM PUM tells the story of one man, his family and how they overcome the obstacles that life puts in their way, together.

Unlike Anand's first film Salaam Namaste which made you swing with the foot-tapping music, this film could have progressed even without its songs. The album has at least two sure shot hits in the form 'Ta Ra Rum Pum' and 'Hey Shona' and with good visuals to match, one can count 'Nachle Ve'.

And you'll find Indian flags in the final winning sequence...
